I remember being in high school and my 2 Youtube searches were always related to
1.Weddings
and
2. Births.
Weddings, because I was madly in love with my 16 year old boyfriend (who would eventually become my husband!) and births, because they fascinated me. The idea that a woman could find the strength within herself to carry and birth a baby made me excited for my hopeful future as a mother. Looking back, I think that was the Lord's way of lighting a little fire.
After experiencing a traumatic birth resulting in an unplanned C-section, I started my journey into birth work to 1) support other women during birth and hopefully prevent the same birth trauma I experienced, and 2) ready myself for my own redemptive birth (spoiler- I did!).
My first birth changed the way I viewed mothers, the maternal care system, and the way God views birth. My second birth changed the way I viewed myself.
I think the one thing that truly helped me overcome potential trauma from my birth was learning about bodily autonomy, having informed consent, and the process of surrender.

My goal as a doula is to help encourage and empower moms (and dads!) during pregnancy and birth. I will be there for emotional, physical, and spiritual support as you prepare for birth. Mamas are the real MVP’s of their births!

($100 discount for out-of-hospital births)
I would love to support you during your birth! As a birth doula, I offer
• phone and text support during pregnancy + 1 year after birth
• 3 prenatal visits + 1 postpartum visit
• help create a birth plan
•24 hour on-call availability from 37-42 Weeks of pregnancy
•unlimited labor support during labor + 1-2 hours postpartum
•lactation support and resources
• birth timeline notes (if desired)
